The Greenpoint Shul, Congregation Ahavas Israel, is the oldest continuously operating Orthodox congregation in Brooklyn, a testament to a rich history and enduring community. True to our name, we are built on a foundation of deep love and respect for one another. Our community is diverse - comprising people from all walks of life, spanning different expressions of Jewish practice and observance, from newborns to octogenarians. Here, everyone is welcomed with open arms. We are so happy to have you join us.
To become a member for the 2026 calendar year, please fill out our 2026 membership form. This form is only for new members. If you have questions or are a current member who wishes to request a renewal form, please email us at info@greenpointshul.org.
Membership Policy
All people who identify as Jewish, or are on a path towards Judaism, or are part of building a family with a Jewish identity, are welcome as members. All couples and partnerships are welcome to join as Family members. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, at info@greenpointshul.org

Membership Dues
Our "L'dor va'Dor Membership" most closely reflects the Shul's true annual expenses per membership unit. We encourages those with financial means to choose the L'dor va'Dor membership level. Finances are never a barrier to membership at the Greenpoint Shul, and we have monthly payment plans available.
- L'dor va'Dor Membership - $2625, includes 6 High Holiday tickets
- Family Membership - $1250, includes 2 High Holiday tickets
- Individual L'dor va'Dor Membership - $1250, includes 2 High Holiday tickets
- Individual Membership - $625, includes 1 High Holiday ticket
- Student Membership - $250, includes 1 High Holiday ticket
- Senior L'dor va'Dor - $1250, includes 6 High Holiday tickets
- Senior Family - $625, includes 2 High Holiday tickets
- Senior Individual - $300, includes 1 High Holiday ticket
