The Greenpoint Shul would like to share an update regarding recent changes to our lay
leadership.

Following the conclusion of her service as President and as a member of the Board of Trustees,
we extend our sincere gratitude to Daphne Lasky for her outstanding leadership. During her
tenure, the Shul experienced meaningful growth, including an increase in membership, the
strengthening of our professional staff, and the successful launch of our Hebrew School.
Daphne’s dedication, vision, and thoughtful guidance helped position the Shul for continued
success, and we are deeply thankful for her many contributions.

We also wish to acknowledge Stephen Weidberg, our longtime and beloved Gabbai, who
additionally served as Treasurer and as a member of the Board. Stephen’s years of service have
been marked by deep commitment, warmth, and generosity of spirit. His steady presence at
Shabbat and holiday services, along with his leadership and friendship, have left a lasting
impact on our community.

To ensure continuity during this period of transition, the Board has made interim leadership
appointments. Larry Drucker is serving as President, and Andrew Altfest is serving as Vice
President until the next Annual Meeting. In addition, Rose Moritz-Wesenberg and Julia Forman
joined the Board to serve the remainder of Daphne’s and Stephen’s respective terms.

The Board and officers remain committed to supporting the growth, vitality, and well-being of
the Greenpoint Shul. We value the engagement of our members and welcome hearing from the
community as we move forward together.
